Getting started
What is PawsNPup?
PawsNPup is an independent, research-driven platform for dog and cat parents. We research useful information from authentic, reputable, publicly available sources and bring it together in one clear, accessible place, so you don’t have to search across a dozen sites to understand a topic.
Who is it for?
Anyone living with, or thinking about, a dog or a cat, and who wants to understand their companion better. From first-time parents to experienced owners looking for a second, well-sourced perspective.
Is it free to use?
Yes. The guides are free to read. An optional newsletter shares new guides now and then, and you can unsubscribe any time.
How we work
Where does your information come from?
We research reputable, publicly available sources and organise what we find into clear guidance. Where it counts, we link back to those sources so you can read the original and judge for yourself.
Do you write the content yourselves?
Yes, guides are researched and written by the PawsNPup team. We don’t use algorithmic content mills or unverified social folklore.
How often are guides updated?
Understanding of pet care evolves, so we revisit and update guides as we learn. Each guide shows when it was last reviewed.
Trust & boundaries
Do you give veterinary or medical advice?
No. PawsNPup is a knowledge and discovery platform, not a veterinary practice. Our guides are general information to help you ask better questions, for anything medical, or in an emergency, always contact your own vet.
Are your product recommendations sponsored?
No. Product picks are researched independently from reputable sources. We don’t take paid placements, PR gifts, or sponsored reviews, which keeps our recommendations independent.
Do you have vets or certified experts on staff?
We’re clear about what we are: a research-driven team of writers and researchers, not a veterinary or clinical authority. We don’t claim credentials we don’t have, our value is careful research, clear organisation, and transparency.
